Privacy notice.
Privacy Notice
I’m committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how I use it. This privacy notice explains what information I collect, why I collect it, how I use it, and what rights you have.
In carrying out my work, for data protection purposes, I am the “data controller” of your personal information. This means I am responsible for looking after it and deciding how it is used in a legally compliant way.
If you ever want to get in touch about your data, you can contact me at:
hello@milanutrition.co.uk
What information I collect
When you book, attend, or take part in my consultations or webinars, I may collect:
Your name and contact details (such as email address and phone number)
Payment details (processed securely via third-party providers – I don’t keep card numbers myself)
Information you share about your health, lifestyle, and goals (some of this is “special category” data under the law, because it relates to your health)
Technical information (like your IP address) if you use my website or webinar platforms
Why I collect and use your information
I use your information to:
Provide you with nutrition consultations and webinars
Take payment and manage bookings
Keep in touch with you about your sessions, resources, and follow-ups
Meet my legal and professional obligations
I only collect the information I need and keep it for no longer than necessary.
The legal basis for using your data
Under UK data protection law, I must have a legal basis for processing your information. For most of my work, that will be:
Contract: to deliver the consultation or webinar you’ve booked
Legal obligation: to keep certain records (e.g. for tax purposes)
Legitimate interests: for running my business (such as keeping records of what services I’ve provided)
Provision of health and social care: where I process information about your health, I do so because it is necessary for the provision of health or social care. I am a Registered Associate Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition and I am bound by a professional duty of confidentiality.
Sharing your information
I sometimes share your data with trusted third parties who I need run my service – for example:
Online booking, video conferencing, and payment platforms
Cloud storage providers (such as Amazon Web Services)
Some of these providers may store data on servers outside the UK or EU (for example, in the US). Where this happens, I make sure your data is protected through appropriate safeguards, such as contractual commitments under data processing agreements.
I will never sell any of your information.
How long I keep your data
I keep your information only as long as I need it to provide you with services and to meet legal or professional obligations. After that, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have a number of rights under data protection law, including to:
Ask for a copy of your personal data (a “subject access request”)
Correct or update information I hold about you
Ask me to delete your data, or restrict how it’s used (in certain circumstances)
Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled
For more details about your rights, you can visit the website of the ICO (the UK Personal Data regulator) at https://ico.org.uk.
